I've tried to fit electronic controllers from Ebay to 2 backpacks. Although 1 was successful the other wasn't.  When I consider the amount of time I wasted messing on, I came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth the hassle. Most of the controllers on ebay are simple pc boards with electronic components open to the elements. Water ingress is a major factor for failure.

If window cleaning warehouse haven't spares then I would buy a replacement backpack from a supplier that has parts. But at the price they are new, I can no longer justify the time repairing it.  How do you know its the flow controller?

Sometimes we can get our balance a little skew. I would replace the backpack and use the earnings to pay for it. Its easy to spend a pound to save a penny. My opinion.
