Which FSC?
« on: June 19, 2017, 09:07:25 am »
Hi - i'm looking for a small FSC for my machine - Lombardini 15lpm with Interpump w154

I was looking to get a small one as my machine hasn't got the umph for any big units

Anyone know of a good little one and where to buy?  I have been looking at one of these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351411852056?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT but its a Kiam. I know their machines aren' the best so wondered if that means their FSC is worth avoiding too?

You could buy a whirlaway for a little bit more...

Ok - with the Whirlaway i see they do a 14'' one and the next one up is the 16'' - both without wheels. The 18'' then has the wheels. With my machine at around 15lpm and the W154 should i go for the smallest and if so does it matter it has no wheels!?

I bought a 18 inch whirlaway and it works fine with my 15 lpm 250 bar..i cleaned a tennis court with it and it worked a treat  :)

Your interpump , am i right in thinking its just 150bar ?

If so you wont power any decent size FSC whirlaway  or Mosmatic ,
If you really want a FSC  you may get away with a small mosmatic 12"

yes its 150 bar so thats why i was thinking a small FSC. Maybe i would be better upgrading the pump before i get an FSC? Its on a PA B5 gearbox to the Lombardini 15 LD 350  - would an upgraded Interpump just bolt straight on?

Changing a pump will cost a lot more than buying an fsc. You'd be better phoning a supplier to make sure your getting the right combination of pump, fsc and jets otherwise you could be spending £££'s to have something that isn't efficient.

Thanks Alan, i did call Ben at Rutland this afternoon and got some advice. Going to be ordering some kit from him.
