Cleaned for her on and off for 4 years.

2 years old house then her and hubby moved and got a call about 2 years later to do current house.

Oh yeh they have an estate agents business 😁

I actually have the opposite to you where I clean quite a few holiday homes during the spring/summer months and they don't want them cleaned during winter. As others have said you just need to make sure you're earning a decent enough rate to make it worthwhile.

I really don't see an Issue here. I have one American geezer who only stays here when the weather is bearable (Jun - Aug), I clean his windows then and charge accordingly.

Suits me fine.

Its a simple choice, do you want to be her window cleaner when shes back home or not?!  Someone else can quite easily clean them for her and be earning.

Some times i think we forget that we are employed by our customers. I have 3 customers who have summer homes and spend 2 or 3 months away. They turn their gas, electric of etc and so what turn off the window cleaner at same time......

I would say to her  your round is full and to keep her on you need to do the fronts at half price every time she's away.
If she's not happy with that replace her.
The best customers are the ones who appreciate this is our living.
Nah, second thoughts just nob her off and only tell her why if she contacts you 😁

People take this dumping customers who don't confirm to every stringent standard too far.

We all hate messers, bad payers, not this time for no reason etc etc.

But someone like this who wants their windows cleaning 10 months of the years is still worth 300 quid a year to you, why would you dump them? They haven't messed you about and wasted your time they have yold you in advance..Why can't you skip cleans for 2 months? Is your round that's critically balanced to breaking point that you must replace her ?

It's cutting your nose off to spite your face. I would look at it as you are getting 300 quid a year of these people not losing 60 quid a year. On the two months you don't do them one add on job such as a conny roof could cover the shortfall.

Don't agree with that. We have a cleaner and when we went away for a month last year asked her to still come every week, it's her livelihood. Maybe it's because it annoys me in my business when people just say no thanks because we're not here. They should appreciate having a regular, professional service IMO.

its swings and roundabouts in this game mate.just take it on the chin.at least she notified you.

i have quite a few jobs i cant clean every month due to various reasons(usually holidays,work being done on the house,front only due to locked gates, etc)but i also pick up new jobs and add ons and clean the backs of some front only jobs so it evens itself out in the long run and im actually relieved sometimes!(so i can finish earlier than usual!)

My biggest job is £30.  I did have one at £40 but dumped him as I could never get access.

Got a handful at over £20 but 90% of my round is between 10-15 quid.

I wouldn't put up with it. But that's just me. Do what you want.

If they want a favour then they have to ask nicely. Not just assume I will do their bidding.

I have several holiday homes I clean from April to Sept, I don't mind as it's regular every year and it's convenient with better weather so allows me more time in winter for regulars without getting behind. Charge extra for holiday homes
