[Jsw window cleaning]

Hi guys, I have just picked up a new customer its  new build but they were vandalised and on the French doors frames they are covered in an oil based paint. The frames are coated in coloured plastic (grey) so can't use anything to harsh or it will strip it back to white pvc. Has anybody got any ideas as to what I can use and how to price please.

House Insurance and new French Doors sounds like the only satisfactory way forward.

If the paint is oil base it should be softened with white spirit and then sugar soap but try a small area at the foot of the frames first. Your success would depend on how dry the paint, how long it been there and how much sun exposure it`s had. A lot would depend on  if your analogy of the paint was correct.

If the oil paint is a standard convertible coating more than 24 hours old then no amount of its own solvent will affect it.
A fast evaporating thinner like UPOL system 20 may partially dissolve the paint but realistically any solvent strong enough to remove it will damage the surface finish.

I wouldnt attempt to do it. They are looking for a cheap fix to remedy the situation rather than having to accept it or replace it. But then the third option, give them a tin of paint from BnQ 😂😂😂😂
