Skyvac Atom ?
« on: May 01, 2017, 01:05:59 pm »
Hi folks,

Looking at a gutter cleaning machine but not an expensive one as I cant afford it. Any recomendations? Ive looked at the skyvac atom and one from the window cleaning warehouse which I think was £590 + vat. How easy is it to empty the machine when its full? Im guessing it gets quite heavy.

Thanks,
Stu

Obviously I'm not going to endorse one of our competitors products  ; ;D however we ourselves use an 1800 watt machine of a similar size (40 litre) and find them easier to use and empty than the bigger machines. We've used ours on large commercial jobs and obviously you empty it more than a larger machine but never found this a problem.

I'm also interested in getting a gutter vac as a customer who owns a hotel has asked for a quote.
How  difficult are they to use at heights over 45ft?

To be honest they can be tricky at that height, we ourselves recommend up to 40ft. We have supplied up to 60ft but they are a bit unwieldy at that sort of height.

I'm there on Tuesday, I'll see if I can get away with a 40'.
What would you recommend at that height?

If you're talking poles then definitely carbon, power of machine anything over 1800 watts will do the job.

can i just say , i have this machine and is is the best bit off kit i have to date, it has paid for itself on the fist job i did and i have been working it up to 40ft with no problems. you just have to take your time and go slowly, and to date i have never had to go up and remove any difficult weeds it has taken it all so far. the customers love it to.
