there both as good as each other , it depends on the life they have had befour you get them if buying them secondhand

we have had both and they both had over 250k on them when we got rid of them , if we were to buy one  for wfp I think I would try and get the caddy maxi as you can fit the bigger poles in the back without cutting the bulkhead or putting them in on the slant

but low mileage and a good service history a must with both , and if you can get one that's been limited all its life even better

sometimes talking as a woman helps I know we all have bills and like nice things but its the smalls things that count like pushing toy cars along the floor and playing with dolls my kids missed out on this

if you can afford it have you looked at the ex gas maxis ? they have been well looked after , and there fitted with trackers from new so they should be ok ? we have been watching them a lot as we due to replace one of our transits

yes i've been watching the blue ex gas maxis, they seem to be everywhere,  really nice looking vans and would be great for our line of work :)

there all around the 5k mark  which is more than i wanted to pay.

Had Vw for years

To be honest after driving new LWB connect ltd , my choice would be the connect, better economy and 985kg payload

And yes I fit the 47 extreme in with brush and goose neck, no holes cut and a 60 modular and a ladder and a gutter vac and two reels

But ask me again in a few years of driving it, if it's still has got its attraction

You need to look at what size tank you want and make sure you get a vehicle with a big enough payload.

For me as a sole trader i would want 500l absolute minimum (most seem happy with that), this means a vehicle with at least an 800kg payload, a bit more if you carry much other gear around.

I have a connect for 8 years and have had such good service from it. I would not even look at another van, The only expense I have had is tyres and an alternator, by using a relay never gives the alternator a break.Good vans
