Gutter and Soffit cleaning - kind of brush?
« on: April 21, 2017, 09:15:30 pm »
Do you just use your window cleaning brush or do you have different dedicated/shaped/bristled brushes?

It's a game of three halves!

Guard well within yourself that treasure, kindness. Know how to give without hesitation, how to lose without regret, how to acquire without meanness.

My current brush set up-

Xline mono flocked for everyday use.
Great all rounder and lasts and lasts

Gardiner's sill flocked for fascias/gutters.
The long bristles get under the gutter line and in between the brackets easily, plus lightweight which is a must for fascia cleaning.

Xline flocked sill for con roofs.
Slightly heavy but great when using ladder and attacking a roof from above. The weight means you don't need to apply much pressure and the bristles are tightly packed which gives excellent scrubbing power.

if the soffits/gutters your cleaning are at height you want the lightest possible IME.any old xtreme brush is good plus you can get up around the gutter brackets easier.

i used to use sill brushes but its not worth the extra strain.you ll clean them in just the same time with xtreme brushes but itll be easier on the shoulders/neck/arms.
price higher/work harder!

Sill brush for me with fans, not enough bristles in ordinary brushes.
Even easier is handing over a business card of someone who actually enjoys it.
