How far do you travel?
« on: April 14, 2017, 04:12:45 pm »
Afternoon all,

How far does everybody travel? I do a fair bit locally (within 5 miles of home) however I do travel half hour out to the more affluent areas)

Yourselves? Just out of interest?

Furthest residential is 1 hour away.
Furthest commercial is 15 mins away.
I'm quite lucky in that all my big commercial jobs are very close to home. No travel time plus good earners, my favourite days.
Iv considered ditching the 1 hour away job a few times, but it's £110 job and i do 1 house on the way there and 2 on the way back, all big houses, so it makes up the numbers.
Plus the hour away job has gutters done each year which is a nice days earner.

My round is very compact. It is all residential and I don't travel more than half mile in any direction to get to any of it bar 6 house where I travel maybe one mile once a month.

15 miles from home for residential.

From swindon to Bristol for 1 block of flats. Around 40 miles I guess
To climb mount fuji you must first find a path

Probably within a 15 mile radius. Thats only because of recent expansion, before that it was well within 5 - 8 miles and kept that way so if my car broke down when trad worked i could still get round my work.
Thats why i also use solar panals as i dont really cover the milleage for a split relay charger

Mostly within a 5 mile radius.

Although I will be moving further affield if I decide to expand as it's pretty saturated round here and I've just about coveted it all with leaflets and canvassing.

That's a shame.
I've got a nice little commercial job lined up just on the Asian side of the Caucasus.
Looks like I'll have to turn it down.
Never mind, plenty more fish in the Med.

Of my regular work, I have a day's work 25 miles from home.

I also do a holiday home annually which is 55 miles away.
