Porcelain and graphite tiles
« on: April 06, 2017, 09:43:51 pm »
Hi All,

I'm going to look at a new building on Monday that are looking for contract cleaning. Part of the contract will be deep cleaning their floors on a rotational basis.

In the meantime, they have raised a couple of concerns with their current cleaning arrangement for the floors;

1.1. New porcelain tile showing difference in colour

1.2. Graphite tiles showing cleaning residue

1.3. Explain methodology for deep cleaning

I managed to sneak in today to take a quick pic of the floors. To me, the graphite tile residue looks like it could be grout haze that hasn't been cleaned off properly? I'm not sure at this stage how long the floor has been down. Can anyone help here with their thoughts?

Any advice appreciated as obviously I would like to be well informed to offer up a couple of reasons on what could possibly be causing  the difference in colour to the porcelain and the graphite showing residue?

Many thanks

Kev Martin

There is a lot going on there and a fair bit to think about.  It will take me too long to write a reply with all the possible pitfalls.  We have recently done 480m2 of a similar floor.  Don't know how big this one I'd but that is the first thing you need to know.  Give me a call if you like  on 07770598855.  Kevin I will try and talk you through it
