We have put small piece plastic at ends of the squeegee channel to act as a bumper.
Avoid scratching the glass in situations like in this video.

Yes have the ideas to do this BUT not real good at sewing. 
So my wife sews up anything that needs sewing.

I think window cleaners should different cloths for detailing and moping sills.
