i was reading that the other day. Probably not cost effective yet for now, but i could see this being the future for all membranes one day.
 I can see the ionics marketing team rubbing their hands in anticipation already  parts per trillion crash tested steam water  cleaning system with Graphene technology

The promising graphene oxide sieve could be highly efficient at filtering salts, and will now be tested against existing desalination membranes. I would have thought that would be the first thing they would have done.  Makes me wonder about accuracy of the rest of the info in the article.

I would have thought that the first thing they would do would be to check if they could get it working at all.  Which is what they have done. 

Because until they have done that they can't test it against anything. 

Featured on the 6 o'clock news on BBC so may reappear at ten.
