« on: April 03, 2017, 10:31:26 am »
Hi guys
I am a carpet and upholstery cleaner and am looking to expand into hard floors can anyone recommend a good course that covers everything, also equipment wise what to look at and what to stay away from.

Cheers
Matt

Hard Floor cleaning is quite diverse. More so than carpets. There is Stone, Vinyl, Wood, Linoleum, Rubber ceramic, etc...etc.. Like many areas there are courses which cover specific areas in detail and then there are courses which try to cover all the areas but in much less detail. For a general over view of all the areas there is Prochem. Kevin and Tony Martin from Tiling Logistics do a more specialized stone and ceramic course.  The Ultimate floor care company do a wood specific course. There are many more courses, But it depends on which areas you will be working in the most.

Hi Matt I have done several and you will need to as there is more to learn than with carpets.
Along with the other ones listed I would recommend Steve Riley in Northumberland John Kelly I think organises them also tile doctor in Carnforth which will specialise in clay based tiles like quarry and terracotta victorian etc. That said I think Kevin Martin covers victoriana tiles too.
Either way whichever you do it is a bit like a burger..... one is never enough.
