haha have to laugh
« on: March 23, 2017, 01:43:53 pm »
So i had been cleaning this chaps windows for about 14yrs, hes very OCD. He has a lovely garden but every time a leave lands on it, hes out to pick it up.
Anyway 6months into switching onto wfp he cancels my service because not keen on upstairs sills. They get cleaned but i think its the water which goes under the window between the window n sill and it trickles out later (u know how it does). Any way i clean most on the street, infact on the block and each time hes out he has a chat. "If ever u go bk on ladders let me know u can come straight back, im just not keen on that water thingy" hes always saying. As far as i knew he found a trad guy to them.
Today my customer his neighbour told me has someone new cleaning windows and infact they use same system as me. Even posted her a flyer;

Bet hes too embarassed to come out n talk with to me now and certainly too proud to ask me to start doing them again. 😂😂

Not lost any more customers in the block....not mamy can be sweet talked by a free clean

You will not be laughing when they get a few more and eventually take over yer patch. There is no such thing as loyal custards no matter how professional you may think you are. lol

Like most on here, ive seen competition come and competition go or fade away.

Loyal, the vast majority of my customers have been with me since day 1. They've had flyers posted no end of times offering silly prices and they almost all end up in bin.      Over years though ive had one or two leave due to a cheaper price. Only after a couple of months to come grovelling back which ive been happy to do. Lol with a readjustment in their price and not downwards. The advantage of that, they learn their lesson 😂😂

So am i fussed about this national company. Nope n not at this moment in time.

Ye must be doing something right Nathan.
Suppose you need to get a good rapport and most people won't be that bad to take away your livelihood if you are doing a good job and not robbing them

Uk window clean seem to be spreading like wildfire in the north.

It amuses me how people laugh at the free clean idea. But it is obviously working for them.

Free window clean *

The asterisk could mean you have to sign up for 12 months minimum? Obviously there's a catch to the free clean!
We look at them, they look through them.

Yes they do clean themselves. Where did you get that idea? See there vans flying around every week up here in leeds.  Had  a job interview with them once.

http://www.ukwindowclean.com/window-cleaning-franchise.html

From workingbin BT sales and having regulators breathing down your neck at any mentioned of how bad other companies are. Im sure this blurb from UK WindowCleaning is in breach with many of their statements slaughtering other window cleaners, esp the trad guys
