Didn't Steve at Ex-Ceed patent the tubeless part. Looks identical where it connects to the rectus fitting

What I found interesting was their clamp assembly. I see Alex looking at that  design very closely.

They are not self adjusting though like Gardiners.

Ionics have put their spring between the clamp faces so the spring tension actually pushes the clamp open. The Smart clamp has the spring on the 'outside' so the spring tension keeps the 'jaws' tensioned on the tube. The Smart clamps makes sense and works. I'm not sure how the position of the Ionic spring helps the clamp mechanism to clamp securely on the tube; I can't see it does.

Both clamps have adjusting screws.

The idea behind the ionics clamp is that it makes the pole completely loose with the clamp open for easier extending and less wear on the sections , time will tell if it actually works ...........although i dont hear of many people buying ionics poles!

Maybe exceed struck a deal with ionics, I hope so as exceed should take the credit  and profit from such a good idea.

Shame if it wasn't protected.

Wasn't people already running the hoseless idea before exceed brought it out though?
I seen posts years before of people making diy versions, all they have done is neaten it up!

Its not so much the HOSELESS. its the connector to the rectus fitting. It looks identical

The water running through the angle crank allows the brush head to turn in 360 degree motion with quick release function for the brush head.

Ionic have a patents on all improvements including the end connector. They have added a locking feature to the end.
