On a connect 230 the poles need to go over your head to fit,
I'm not so sure soil pipes would work
I'm keen to know how others have hooked their poles up in a connect or a similar van where the poles go into the cab

they do work.
when i had my t230 i fitted the soil pipes with thick cable ties along the inside roof.i had the mesh bulkhead which allows you to fit the pipes above your head into the cab.no probs.

my new connect 240 the same soil pipes fit in even with the full steel bulkhead as its longer than the 230.again no probs.

I'm guessing Crystal-clear is referring to the roof of the cabin?
I would say just make the soil pipe holders slightly shorter than the length of the cargo area of the van (minus the brush and gooseneck) which should allow plenty of support for the closed length of the pole.
Most everyday closed length poles shouldn't protrude much into the cabin area anyway unless it's a really short wheel base van.

I use the poles tubes from grippa and they sell a special bolt which goes into many of the different holes in the roof roof struts and you can tighten it on itsself then they sell a circular tube clamps which fits onto to it, to hold pole tube in place. It sits high up in van above your head when you sit in seat

Similar to what must do with soil pipe or drain pipe and cable tie

Thanks for the picture of your 230 I do prefer the soil pipes but yours  ain't too bad
I'll check out grippa but I'm guessing it will be more expensive then the DIY job

Yes I mean the inside part of the roof The thing is I can see one section where the soil pipe could hook on but the section above the head will make the soil pipe slightly bending

I think you are  suggesting to only strap the pipe on the obvious section tightly and cut the pipe before the cabin section you're saying this will give enough support ? And how on earth do I strap it do I need to buy anything

theres holes in the struts on the inside roof to push cable ties through.mine are really tough heavy duty ones.2 places to put ties.thats enough for soil pipes to fix it firmly.(soil pipes do not bend at all)

Yeah, this is what I've done too. Just use the brackets that are correct size for the soil / downpipe  and screw them with some decent self tappers , to the roof of your van. x1 in the middle, x1 by the roof brace nearest the back doors. You don't need to bother with the one by the bulkhead. It'll take the weight just using those two mounting places. Looks neat and tidy then. 👍
