I saw your post on the George Yahoo group Dave.

I haven't had a reply from an email I sent Paul the other day.

I wasn't so quick to update this time after the problems with the last update.

I'm getting the impression he's not as interested anymore. Hopefully I'm wrong.

His website looks like it's not been updated since 1997....

The Internet backup has been playing up for months it takes a few attempts to work. Paul is aware of it but seemingly can't fix the issue.

I was having the same problem when backing up,Paul has released. A new version, which I have downloaded and now back up is not a problem
Have a look at George web site and download latest version.
Don't  know  why he doesn't e mail all users when he releases a new version

Update? Just been on his site and the last time an update was released was 2 years ago. Jan 2015.

I've had the email to say about the recent 2 updates. You have to join the George  user Yahoo group to get the email I think.

He also said in that email that the text on the website for the current version is not correct but you will download the latest version when you click the download link.

I don't know why the response are so hit or miss though.

Cleaner Planner is probably the way forward but I can't justify the £18 amonth as yet.

You will know if you have the latest version, when you either go to print a work list or allocate payments as the set up is different.
The new version also backs up without issues .

The version Iam now running which backups up ok is version3.71A7 that's what's on the home page of George on my PC,
not  sure what the numbers mean, but I'm sure if you download latest version it will work, irrespective of what version is showing

When you print a work list you get a drop down to change date instead of entering date using keyboard, the same applies to when you allocate a payment,as I don't fully use all things on George so there the only differences I've noticed, but the main benefit is the back up working

I Got a reply after 3 - 4 days, by which time I had fixed the problem myself

However there has been a couple of problems since, which I have now fixed most of them with the advice that Paul gave to another Yahoo group user.

At the moment I am having further difficulty invoicing, the program keeps asking for an invoice address when printing invoices from the debt list.

I was informed by Paul  a few years that maybeI had outgrown George
