show homes
« on: June 01, 2006, 10:21:53 pm »
Hi, I've been asked to quote for a show home clean once per week. Also to quote for 5 houses that will need builders cleans in 7 or 8 weeks.

New to this side of cleaning, just wondered if anyone had any advise for me.

I'm not too sure i've got theresorses to do the builders cleans, but i would be more than happy to do the show house clean........if i knew what it involved.

Thanks for your thoughts

Hi Lisa,

We currently do this type of work including showhomes and builders cleans.

What normally happens is you tender for the build clean, reclean and sparkle clean for the site.  If you win the tender you will normally get the showhome weekly cleaning as well.  Builders normally like the company that are doing their showhome clean to do the other cleans as well, bearing in mind the showhome has to be build cleaned, recleaned and sparkled.

What area are you operating in?

Regards

Graham

Hiya
it's in Shrewsbury. The show home is alrady open and waiting to be cleaned.

The other houses aren't finished yet.

I'd like to learn about doing these cleans, if anyone is interested in helping me out.

Hi Lisa

Not forgetting as per other postings that you charge zero rated VAT on any cleaning done on brand new unoccupied plots.....and 17.5% on occupied plots. Sure the 17.5% goes for show homes.

Make sure you have the correct CICS card thingy whatever you call it.....as the developers will let you clean to your hearts content, but will not pay your invoices until registered. See your local Tax Office i believe!!

Kind regards

you will need to get a cis card which takes about a week to come from the tax office if you pop down to your local tax office with a passport photo they will help you fill it out its really easy
