Nice tea, yuk tea?
« on: January 30, 2017, 08:43:21 am »
Does anyone have custies that offer tea or coffee that you wouldn't give to your dog? I have one that always makes me one but puts goats milk in which I hate so I throw it down drain. Then another that gives me a cup that started its life as being white but inside is now black meaning that I won't drink this either! But in general most cups I get are ok!

Strange thread to start....

On the whole my coffee breaks are great, there at different levels but i do have the two customers which make it in their own special way.   One isnt great, but i still accept it through summer so it doesnt stop for winter. When its cold i warm my hands on cup and take a couple of sips.
The other, she always adds brandy to it. Cant stand brandy, keep joking to her to add whiskey but shes not picked up on the subtle hint yet  ;D

Don't think you've got the hint, she wants to get you drunk ;) ;D
Be careful, one day they'll be a roofie in your coffee...

Haha. I think it's an awesome thread to start.

Just accepted a tea from a fairly new customer and it was disgusting. How can people **** up a cup of tea.

Thats why i started asking for coffee, thought they cant possibly go wrong with coffee........how wrong i was. I had one customer who used to have the liquid coffee (is it campa coffee or something, not sure of its name)......but over the years ive learnt to educate my customers on giving window cleaners a drink and so i know who to accept a drink from.
The ones who nade horrid hot drinks i thought i would be polite and accept a cold drink (esp in summer) but then you get horrid elderflower flavoured weak dilluted juice. With some custies, you cant win

I've trained my custards to serve eggcup size espressos. Gotta keep moving.

If it tastes horrid I don't drink it. But that only happens now and again.

No one makes a "bad" cuppa for me but sometimes I haven't got time or the desire and I just say  "I just had a coffee out of the flask thanks".

It's a game of three halves!

Or you drink the cold juice and only then see the filthy glass it was served in!  ;D

My "best" tea/snack providers are two old gals in a close where I do three houses.

I get a tea and two caramel snack bars at one and a tea and five - yes five speciality biscuits (like Fox's or Victoria selection) at the other.

One of my customers is a young traveller lady who always gives me a good mug of tea, sandwich, packet of crisps, chocolate bar and selection of biscuits.
