3D printing replacement parts
« on: January 26, 2017, 10:18:34 am »
Has anyone considered this or done it? You can get mini 3D printers for under £500 now. It'd be relatively cheap to print, say, a plastic hose connector. What are your thoughts?

Cost of replacement parts are cheap enough to buy rather than trying to make your own surely?

For a decent 3d printer be more like a couple of grand or more.

Unless you can print carbon poles, is it really worth the high initial payout to purchase a good enough machine to save you pennies in comparison on small plastic replacement parts
