Those that have rubber mats on floor!
« on: January 26, 2017, 08:22:01 am »
Just wondered if those of you that have put rubber mats on your van floor have used standard car mats or the stuff that comes on a roll that is being advertised on Ebay?

Does it matter?

Rubber van floor liners will protect the painted metal van floor from getting marked/scratched. That's about it.
It's not going to protect the the van from water spillages/flooding though.  The water will simply run over it and try to find a way out through the bodywork and/or out the doors. More so when the van is moving as I've often overfilled my tanks and left a trail of water behind me driving down the road.  ;D

i have a large piece of EPDM in the back of the van, goes up the side of the van about 6 inches, so all spills are contained , cost about £30.00 from a roofing company

I used rubber industrial matting from a roll glued down and run a few inches up the sides of the van.
It's a game of three halves!
