Excelerator Squeegee
« on: December 13, 2016, 08:14:57 pm »
I've been looking at the Moermans  Excelerator  Squeegee, was wondering if anyone on here has bought one
or used one, if so i would be interested in your opinions, if you think they are any good or not, if they help you save
time on detailing or not, any advice or opinions would be appreciated.

ive got one... its a good bit of kit but no miracles obviously. Its hard for me to tell really though because unfortunately I have loads of houses with seals that encroach on the glass and I struggle. lots of clothing until I get my eye in better I guess. I would recommend getting it to see how you get on with it.

I like mine. Defo less detailing, although I did have to adapt it a bit. I would say it's worth a punt.

Boiled up a kettle, soften the plastic ends and straighten them up a bit. Just did it by eye. I think the ends are angled too much downwards so the rubber doesn't sit well on the glass. This left streaks and didn't run smooth, it felt terrible to use. Took me 5 mins to alter it and job done. Works a treat now with no detailing. I may even try the fliq next.

I tried the Excelerator for a month but I've gone back to my modded Wagtail Flipper,it's just as accurate but nicer to use.

What's the difference between the Liquidator and the Excelerator? Both sound like crap inventions you have to correct after you've bought them.

The new one works like a wagtail it's just a wagtail with less detailing,I like the wagtail it's very light and does what it says on the tin brilliant for shops and big panes of glass quicker than WFP on certain work. The thing is with pole work if it's regular you don't need to soap right into the corners soa liquidator is not needed,i find the way the end clips have to work to enable no detailing always gives lines when changing direction on the glass. In certain light or this time of the year you can't see it but in better weather you can,the wagtail with dog eared ends IMO is better all round.
