Whip lines
« on: May 30, 2006, 07:38:09 pm »

On another topic somebody mentioned flexible hose cuffs to allow more articulation of the wand when you are holding it to avoid the symptons of tennis elbow, and this is a good idea. With truckmount pipes, they are not as flexible as portable ones, and i am thinking of cutting up a portable hose to act as a whip line for when working in houses as i would have more flexibility.

My question is does anybody else use whiplines with their tm and what would the ideal length be? Also does it effect the suction to that great extent etc.

Just been out today with John Kelly and his Prowler TM, he had a 50ft x 1.5" whip hose on the end of his machine to the wand.  Looked and felt as easy to use as my porty

Most use an 8 foot whip line to make life easier. I got a swivel cuff from Nick at Solutions for my 2" hose. Now that made life a lot easier on the elbow.

So will you be investing in the prowler once the extracta gives up the ghost?
