Anyone use there pole to wash there van. Mine is getting dirty every 2-3 days this time of the year and really can't be bothered to get the pressure washer out all the time just wondered if it's safe enough and won't cause any scratches

I have a pole with a red vikan brush on with 2 jets. I use trolley n clean mine with it, avoiding wheels etc where brush can pick up crud n stones which will then obviously scratch. Im sensible and not noticed any scratches on mine. But i also did a test patch first .

We always clean ours with soft Supalites. Never scratched. Just clean the brush of well afterwards or keep an old one to use.

Yes clean away, I have an old xtel pole and monofilament brush which I use, haven't noticed any scrapes.
Don't waste your pure on it though, just connect to the hose from outside tap.

yes i always clean my van and car once a week(sometimes twice a week in winter) with a clx 4 with a soft flocked brush these days.

i use my pure too.hot pure water at this time of year.i sometimes spray virosol on the wheels/lower side wings if their manky.

i even have to go over with a cloth after  if the van/car is covered in salt/grit.hot pure water and virosol doesnt get your vehicle clean sometimes!

I go and pay the eastern europeans a tenner and get my van washed twice a year, whether it needs it or not

I clean the van and car once a week with wfp and pure, the pure water gives them a brilliant shine and I've had a few people comment on what I've used to polish the car   

Just make sure it's a soft bristled brush as monafilament scratches paintwork and you'll be fine.

What's your soft bristled brush made with ? just wondering as the majority are made with monofilament.

Again guys I wouldn't use pure as its a waste, apart from that you will get a lot more water pressure/ flow from the mains tap,
the more the better when removing muck and grit from a vehicles paintwork, if in a hard water area then a quick rinse
with your pure at the end will remove the hard water marks.

Yes I meant the soft bristled gardiners brushes which are still monafilament  are what I use for the car, I've noticed no issues at all using it but I just run around the work van (white) with an old  medium/soft dual trim brush and notice marks in the same direction as the motion of the brush strokes so the harsher medium bristles must be the cause. Doesn't particular bother me as the old workhorse's bodywork is badly in need of some isopon and paint, got myself some rustoleum  paint ordered to hopefully sort it over the Xmas holidays

Mono filament brushes can scratch paintwork. My van gets it's yearly clean with a flocked brush. It is 11 years old and not fallen apart yet.

For car valeting I always use pure through the pressure washer after a good wash by hand. Make sure your wax it and don't use anything too harsh when cleaning if you want to prolong the paintwork.

i just use a soft brush and pure and maybe a bit of virosol.even on my new GTI!

I will wax it in spring/summer though.might even wax the van too!

the paintwork is not going to fall off if you use washing up liquid!

scratched wives sports car with a medium mixed once. I now use soft brush and do van all the time. Van is full of scratches from bushes anyway
