In winter use the 'old' British army gortex boot:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GORETEX-PRO-BOOTS-BRITISH-ARMY-BRAND-NEW-VARIOUS-SIZES-AVAILABLE-/301900505559?var=&hash=item464aac21d7:m:mkzP9Sv9EkEzsTxpi3uOIIwI say 'old' because they're all using a new kind of boot now, but the 'old' ones are perfect for window cleaning. They're waterproof, rugged, keep your feet warm 'n' dry, and once broken in, are really comfortable, and they last for a good few years. In summer I just use a pair of training shoes.

Do they have stieel toe caps ?There's no steel toecaps, and they're probably heavier than a pair of Dr Martens, but they're not so heavy that I think "Flip me, these boots are heavy".They are slippy on green stuff, like on decking, (but most everything is slippy on green stuff). They're my favourite boot; I've been wearing them for years.
I thought you recommended Magnums before. I sent mine back after a week because they leaked.

I only wear ankle high boots!"
