You've mentioned (once or twice) that you send the lads out so I'm assuming you will want to future proof and keep resin costs down?
If so I'd recommend the 40/40 from daqua
(http://www.daqua.co.uk/ro_systems.htm)
Adjustable pure/waste valve, decent price, and depending on your ingoing TDS and pressure you'll get a good flow or pure with a low outgoing TDS
Can you with the gate valve reduce the amount of waste if you are on a mete? We're moving to a unit soon with a meter, so we will be ditchiong a Merlin.
Thats what the gate valve is for, adjusting the pure to waste ratio
Obviously less waste = more pure but you get a higher TDS which means more resin usage...same visa versa
Its a case of finding a balance that works for you but yes you can reduce the amount of waste
I saw the thread about you moving to your unit, did you not fancy trying the tap on waste idea spruce mentioned?
I've got a mate with a merlin (boosted) and he gets good TDS figures, waste amount is pretty big though.
