Replacing Ninja heater element
« on: May 22, 2006, 07:13:37 pm »
I have an old Ninja (backup) which requires the heater element changing. Can anyone give me some advice as how to change it and where would be the best place to buy.

When I enquired at ashbys it was around £40.  When I checked the wiring I found that a connector had corroded and the live was arcing to the earth.  New connector and some insulation tape for good measure saw the element working perfectly again.  Cost £2.  Worthing checking the wiring first.  Also could be thermostat think that was about a tenner.  Give ashbys a call they are very helpful and gave me instructions how to test element / thermostat and replace.

Thanks guys,
the terminal has completely corroded off probably through being stored for a long time.
