Best day ever
« on: June 09, 2016, 09:30:07 pm »
Today was our best day ever for new customers. Myself and one of my office staff have just finished a 12 hour day and gained 56 new regular customers, with over £2000 of one off/add on services (gutters, con roof ect).  Im very happy with that.

So yes I am willy waving, showing off, being big headed ect ect. Why not give yourself a pat on the back for good results.  I think its fun to share good things.

Are all the new vans on the road and leaflets been delivered?
We look at them, they look through them.

No and no.

I am growing the customer base at a steady rate and putting new vans on the road in line with that, in order to maintain the speed of our round cycle.

That's not willy waving, there's a guy on here who built a successful window cleaning round in just under a month from never having cleaned a window,  by month two he was hitting the VAT threshold.
There's a few other sole traders on here who only work part time to stay below the threshold.
If anything I would say get your finger out and come back when you have a decent success story to tell us. lol.
Glad to see your doing well it takes guts to risk big money on a business venture.

Yes that is the biggest ball ache, but I pay very well and I spent a lot of money with an employment law firm to draw up my contracts, which prevent any of them from doing that for 12 months after leaving.

I'm at the stage were I'm trying to get off the tools but struggling to let go. It's hard getting good guys to stick at it even when paying good wages. Hardest part of this job if growing it I think.

He turned over £80k in two months. He must be good. ;D

Who is the member; I'd like to read his backposts.

Bit of an exaggeration on my part, it was around £40k a year worth of work in two months, wont name the guy as it got a bit heated at the time.

I took a lot of work from other shiners and the story I got more than any other was..... he used to do a brilliant job until these
new guys started working with him.
Sort of scares you off employing especially if in an area where customers will move for quality.

No we are not franchising.

I thought about it 4 years ago but felt it wasn't for us.

You havnt gained 56 regular customers untill you have done them many times.
I also am hitting new custom heavy at present as want to get put of Commercial and retail cleaning as you cant beat easy well priced domestic. Me and 2 others canvassed 42 monthly customers on a 5 hour knock on Sunday on a big new build and some terrace roads off of it but wouldnt class them as regular untill i have done them a good 6/7 times without any issues.
You must have 250/300 customers a week coming in. Fair play if all true and thats the case.
