Card Machine
« on: March 28, 2016, 04:16:10 pm »
Afternoon chaps

Currently I only accept cash, cheque's & bacs.

I imagine most have card machines? Whats the best company to use, Paypal? Also just wondering if anyone has seen sales increase due to offering card payment?

Thanks
Tom.

I have the paypal card reader, its been a total waste of money very few people want to pay the 2.4% charge. Better off sticking to cash or bank transfer.

Worldpay Zinc..................you pay a flat charge per month depending on your level of turnover.
Derek not surprised. I swallow the charges as I offer it as a convenience to the customer to pay. Three days later it hits my account and it would cost me more to go to the bank, queue and then wait 5 working days and have the risk that the cheque would bounce.

I think they have a refer a friend which I can send you and it reduces the card reader.
Send me your email address and I will get them to send you a link.

We have a dedicated merchant account and pay a monthly fee that includes trans charges and its a mobile terminal.
We use it about 4 or 5 times a day some days.

Tom Its done

You get £10 off the card machine so that makes it £29.99.

If anyone else wants to take up the offer here is the code.

http://wpzinc.me/Hua8DaMF85

Incidentally it also allows you to take payments over the phone when at your computer and also sends them a receipt either via email text or you can opt to write a hand written receipt.

Maybe no increase in sales but because we take a deposit over the phone it eliminated no shows :)
