Yes.

Doesn't seem to do much but then neither does vision.

Lights blue touch paper and retires ... and firework night isn't until November 5th either.  ;D

Why would you want to add anything to pure water, I thought pure water was good enough anyway   ???

I've got a ongoing experiment with vision and pure water. I have a commercial job we clean weekly one window gets the vision treatment, the other pure. Been  cleaning it this way for 3 weeks, going to give it 6 then report back with my  (less than) scientific findings! Will post some pictures and hopefully you can let me know which window is which.

of all surfaces to clean glass is one that throws wobblers for many people not just window cleaners, there are many different ways and products that really don't work properly when it comes to achieving optimal results, meaning that when finished cleaning the glass is completely free of SSR's (Streaks,Smears,Residues,).
When glass is cleaned properly especially when doing both insides and outs it will always end up with a natural shine and sparkling finish.
Its hard to beat the feeling of pride after cleaning a window on both sides then to stand back and admire that perfect finish. from my experience the most effective way to achieve optimal results when cleaning glass is to use good quality/high performance microfiber cloths and just plain water.  Tadgh

Tadgh, you don't half waffle on. If you got a proper website or ebay account you'd sell your products much faster. Because you don't there always seems something fishy going on. I'd probably try your waffle cloths if I could see them, click on payment and see exactly what I'm paying for. Your other stuff is just hideously expensive, it might be good but nobody has heard of it.

Where's the order form? Where's the secure checkout page? Where's the product description page? Terms and conditions? Postage costs? the list goes on.

Oh dear, Tadgh Kempy had two years of this and worse send him out a freebie quick.

Thing is I agree with him.

I never said don't use ubik, i was sharing my knowledge and experience of using cleaners that are based on sodium hydroxide over many years and pointing out that yes these type of harsh and aggressive cleaners  can dull  the factory finished sheen on pvc surfaces, after all this is a forum where members share knowledge and experience with each other. If you look at many of my posts i always share that there are many janitorial suppliers in the UK who can offer safer alternatives. I realize that if we had a shopping cart on our site that yes more guys on here may give some  of our products a go and see if they meet their needs.Believe me i am working on this and will have a shopping cart back up over the next few weeks, i say back up as we did have one before but for reasons which i can't go into i had to take it down. Just on all the waffle Dave, when i say good quality/high performance microfiber cloths it dose not mean it has to be little waffle glass cloths, as again there are many suppliers in the Uk who do provide good quality/high performance microfiber cloths. i even shared one who also promote little waffle weave glass cloths and again for others who would like to know its ecloth one of the largest suppliers of microfiber in the UK and who carry an excellent range of microfiber. So don't worry guys its not always about sales if it was i would have a shopping cart up a long time ago. So back to added sparkle i have shared from my experience that using good quality/high performance microfiber cloths with plain water will leave a natural shine and sparkling finish on glass. So i have no problem in saying that you don't always need to use additives to make glass sparkle, what do others think.

I have several different microfibre cloths and scrims ranging from glass polishing cloths to fish scale cloths and loads of others. I tried to clean the wifes windscreen yesterday with one and pure water. Admittedly the sun was out but the results were horrendous! I even tried alcohol (but it was a bit early in the day) and then a squeegee but that didn't work because of the convex screen.

Dave, here is a tip worth trying out  for a perfect finish on windscreens, take a magic eraser pad and dampen it with plain water proceed to scrub the windscreen to remove any ingrained soils, then use a damp fish scale microfiber to wipe away any loosened soils and residues, finish off using a second fish scale microfiber dry and buff for a smear free finish. This method should work fine on both sides of the windscreen. Tadgh

Unger ninja cloth, unger stingray fluid, perfect results.

For gods sake guys we clean dirt of glass and frames, what ever is under that dirt should that be shiny dull or whatever
will still be the same when the dirt is removed.
Restoring frames to their original shine is another job entirely and requires a totally different approach to using soap and water
or water on its own.
Microfiber cloths are a non starter in our game as they are too slow and hard on the joints for day in day out work plus like
Dave Willis I haven't found one yet that does a perfect job.
