Hi guys!

I was asksed to give my first quote for a pub, 
I had a look through previous posts and it seems like this kind of job means money in pocket everyweek but has also disadvantages, some say only disadvantages.


Does pub cleaning require any special equipment or is it just the regular stuff? Will I have to clean the grills and ovens etc??

What to look for when giving a quote, not to make a mistake when estimating how much time will I need to do the job?

whats the average cost of  materials  for 1h, I know it might be hard to answer but when you have no idea yourself you ca only  ask

As nobody else has bothered to answer i will try  have 1 pub contract it is just general stuff u need nothing spec but i dont do the kitchen.
Pub work is tricky coz you have to get staff in on weekends and etc but can be rewarding where abouts are u based?
Dont think about per hour think what u will need for the week and then devide it out into hours.

I'm trying to think of something positive to say about pub cleaning and cant!, although its been about 15 years since we did any, the things i remember are all hassle, early mornings, lots of sick, lots of defecation, having to sweep the carpet before vacuuming, waiting for staff to open up, stinking of stale beer, chasing the landlord for your money, landlord phoning you at crazy hours, working holidays, working Xmas, working weekends, covering for cleaners consistently.

I'll tell you the bad points later

I have two pub contracts and both suffer none of the problems that are suggested, infact the contracts vertually run themselves.   I will certainly consider additional tendering of pub contracts, but I will just assess each pub in turn.

The pubs I have are both country pubs that mainly serve food, and are frequented with walkers et al.  therefore, no sick, excess spilt beer etc.  Both have there kitchen staff look after the food prep areas, and fryers etc.  Therefore, it is general dusting, cleaning glass, toliets, hoover and moping the floors.

Mind u, it is 7 days a week, and staffing can be a headache every now and then.
