Just started up doing it again (for my business not  a service for others).

I enjoy canvassing as well. For me it's one the best parts of the job.... I like to have a chin wag & get to know people.

I canvassed today in  a small village for a couple hours & picked up five new regular jobs including some tea rooms (which are opening up for the tourist season).

I see you're in Pembrokeshire. We've had a couple of fantastic holidays there. What an awesome coastline! And great place to work . Lucky boy 😊

Best time of the year is spring just after winter. When sun shines whilst looking out your window the last thing you want to see is dirt and dust, best results gained are in spring i find.

Interesting i have been thinking the same thing.  Whenever i knock a door of a sold house i always get a much better success rate.  I was even thinking about writing down a house number if i see a sold sign in my area and going back once a month to call at every sold house to add to the main area where my round is based.  Anybody tried this at all before?

Yes great place to work. Beautiful views, no rush hour as such.... The only downside is the fact that that we get more rain than most other parts of the UK.

Sold boards are a good idea and a bit more targeted, I'd be keen to hear any results?

At the moment I'm building on areas where we already have work, it's working well adding more work to already good days, we'll have a new van soon and lots more water so refining is the way forward, get it running like clockwork.

It's nice to do it without the pressure of building up as much as possible. Each new one I'm trying to get signed up to direct debit and it's going quite well. The less messers the better.

I've only done 2 hours worth so far and got £144 8 weekly and two conservatory roofs total of £240.
