Extendable pole?
« on: March 09, 2016, 03:32:26 pm »
Hi , just been asked to clean a first floor flat , now I usually turn these away but this one is on top of a shop, 2 small windows at the front above the shop and quite a few at the back but nothing underneath at the back.
My question is.... Would you trad the front / extendable pole ? if so , where's the best place to buy the gear , do gardiners not have some kind of adaption so you can take your brush off and attach your mop instead ?
Cheers 👍

Clean above the shop when its closed. Thats gonna be easier than trying to master a mop and squeegee on a pole.

Sounds like a bit of hassle just for a few windows, personally i wouldn't take the job on unless it was overpriced.  Having too take a extendable pole/adaptor just to do a few upstairs windows on 1 job is too hassle for me.

I do 1'above a shop I do it very early though and give the shop windows I don't do a good soaking,I didn't want to do it so I told him £20 for 1 3rd storey window and 2 1st floor it literally takes 2-3 minutes to clean so happy days every 6 weeks,I wouldn't do anything like this unless I was in the area doing other work I do shops next door weekly so it's easy enough to do cos I'm already there but if I had a phone call to quote similar I wouldn't bother to look.

Good point, only thing is on the first clean I'm gonna have to give it a good soaking , il have to try and do it earlier than the shop opens though
