I couldn't agree more.
I hear people talking of cutting out the middle man etc.
But if the middle man wasn't there through a lack of customer support where will we go when we need spares quickly.
When I broke a section on my pole last year I phoned Gardiners to order a new one in the afternoon and a new pole section was with me next day (not in 6 weeks).

For once, I agree with others 
Yes you are saving a few quid, but
you do not know the postage cost ? I doubt a single unit would be shipped from China for under £50 maybe more  given its size.
Add to that, gooseneck, brush, hose and fittings and you are only saving a little over buying from a UK supplier and costing you more in piece of mind ( or lack of ) .
I've finally realised after years of diy'ing and trying to save a few quid here and there, that my time is better spent earning money rather than wasting time and leg work trying to save it. one cancels out the other.

Add in a brush for £27.  Add pole hose and connector for £11.85

Add in shipping (let's be wildly optimistic and say £20).

Total £161+£27+£11+£20 = £219.

Brand new 25ft pole with brush and hose and guarantee, shipped to you for Thursday if you order tomorrow, £245.

So, you're saving £26 - 10%.  Add in the risk that your shipper will charge you an admin fee if it's held up in customs.

Why on earth would you do this?

Yep I'm fairly sure HMRC will be wanting import duty plus 20% of the purchase price of the pole and the shipping fee.
