Its official, the Chinese population of Kings Lynn are celebrating the year of the carpet!
In the past week I've had nemerous calls from them, all wanting prices over the phone, from "I want my 6'x4' toilet cleaning to "no I dont know the size of the room"
Now, as glad as I am that we are obviously having a unique oriental celebration in the area I cant help but wonder why at least 2 of the regular callers are using the mobile number of a local cc, perhaps he marred their celebrations and they are holding him captive whilst running up a huge phone bill on his behalf, or perhaps its just the worst case of obvious price checking I've ever seen.
In order to help the offender here are some tips,
1)If supplying your phone to Chinese nationals withhold your number before you let them dial, that way you know it has been done.
2)Dont prompt them when they are on the phone, or at least do it quietly so you cant be heard.
3)When asking for a quote its always better if you give a room size, although we both know the room doesnt exist we could at least try to make the situation as realistic as possible for training purposes.
So, in answer to his questions,
No, I dont price over the phone.
Yes, a 6'x4' bathroom will carry my minimum charge.
Yes, I do know lots of people who work night's and some of them might be needing quotes whilst on their dinner breaks
