Whats best, semi or terraced?
I have always avoided terraced houses like the plague. They are better traditional...or are they.
90%of my round is semi/ detached.
terraced houses are hard to find a parking space. Some you have to drag the hose miles round the back

Price comparison (up north )
terraced front only £5/6 takes about 3 minutes total.
terraced from and back £8 to £10 takes about 5 to 10 mins.
Bear in mind. If you have few together, its easy money

Semi From £7 to £15 takes from 5 mins to 20 mins
usually have to drive to each one

Detached £10 + 5 mins + difficult to compare.

What I am saying is. Are you better hammering the cheap ones out or plod doing the bigger ones.

I'll stick plodding with semis, but not sure its the best money

I live in area where most properties are terraced, regular fronts ( occasionally asked to do backs with a backpack )
Its a numbers game, in streets where I have several and often neighboring I can see my hourly rate double maybe even triple that of stand alone semi's or detached houses, given the driving between and setting up/packing away times.
Give me terraced all day  less money, but less tiring , quicker but you need more of them.

I like semis, £10-£15 ones, steady 10-12 a day is  a nice easy day. I dont mind em being spread about i like a drive and nipping to the shop etc, bit of lunch.

Terraced are good if you have at least 2 in the row.

They are more awkward to park and you have to walk round back, so one on its own probably take as long as a semi but if you had 6 at say £8 could probably bang em out in an hour, very good money then if you could do it all day

I have a couple but I have done them since  I started  they are good friends of mine so I don't want to dump sad I know .but as a rule terrace are a pain unless you have the full row .imo so I avoid

it doesnt matter whether their terraced/3 bed semis/4 bed detached/larger stand alone houses,offices,childrens homes,churches,nurseries,council houses etc.ill take anything on if i think its worth it.

i wouldnt take on a terraced house in the middle of a block though unless i could pick up at least a few more.

hammering out very compact cheaper work or cleaning higher priced larger accounts.i like both for different reasons.compact cheaper work is usually better for cashflow/brews made for you/picking up add ons in spring/summer and larger accounts are usually priced better but slower at paying.(most are BACS transfer or SAE)

for instance ive been cleaning mainly 3/4 bed semis this week(90+ on one estate) but ill finish this work today and ill fit a stand alone larger house in and a commercial job.

tomorrow its a few commercial and larger stand alone account.ill be finished by lunchtime then weekend off.

That's how I look at it.

Just got a terraced front today. Very close to a small town centre, Surrounded with shops. Double yellows all over. Guess I will have to block street off for 2 mins

You guys are missing the trick.... Those awkward terraced houses on all those double yellow lines and permit only areas and those busy main roads are actually gold!! This type of work is all I canvassed for my rounds and hit unbelievable hourly rates on some of the runs!! Park up  on the curb or on double yellow lines then bang iut 6/7 fronts in 20/25 mins all within eye distance of van in case of trafic wardens, when done reel in and off to the next main road and repeat. Do that 5 times a day you can earn £300 a day by leaving at 9 and be home for 1. I have loads of this type of work that i now sub out. You cant beat this type of work as long as you dont mind parking on doubles or awkward spots. Work is in south east, East, south and central London so prob the worst of areas in the uk for yellow lines and parking restrictions

£7-£15 and most of them are 4 weekly.i only need to move the van twice in a day with 100m of microbore. i average around 24 a day on this work(6 hours "on the glass" time).its only 4 an hour.(10-15 mins each).they re easy as they are virtually still clean from 4 weeks ago.

You've given me an idea there. Since all my work is within one square mile and I live in the middle of it, I could ditch my vehicle and work from home with 1 mile of microbore. Might have to beef up my pump though.

Must be small houses then if 100m can clean 12 houses front and back , yes I work in cul de sacs too but still Gotta move van every 3-4 houses
