Good morning everyone - you probably won't have heard of me before or indeed Resin Products Limited.
Resin Products Limited is the only official importer and wholesaler of Tulsion MB115 in the UK. Supplying 90% of all product sold.
WE CAN CATEGORICALLY STATE THAT THERE IS NOT TWO DIFFERENT GRADES OF MB115
We have access to every batch number produced by the manufacturer.
The manufacturer of Tulsion MB115 -Thermax maintains a very strict quality control system and are legally required to maintain a library of samples from every batch they make. If anyone has any issue with Tulsion MB115 resin supplied directly into the UK then please supply the batch number and we will check it out for you. Contact us on  01543 416222 or 0121 796 6450.
Alternatively, go to our web site  www.resin-products.com and send us an email - don't forget to have a look in the shop.

The price for Tulsion MB-115 is £78 inc VAT and delivery in your on line shop. Why is it more expensive to buy from you than Daqua, as you are the importer?

I'm not sure individual  users or buyers are not their market. Yeah sure the will sell us a bag or two but at retail, otherwise Gardiners and Daqua who must order the stuff cheaper but in bigger volumes, might not hold stock.

apparently there is 2 different batches of tulsion mb115 being imported according to alex which would explain the poor quality of some of the bags depending where you buy it from
price higher/work harder!

A quote from another post.

"Hi Alan

That is two different types of MB-115!

Which is why going forward (but not happened quite yet) they will be differentiated by the addition of the suffix SB to the superior supply. Hopefully this will enable clients to make an informed choice about their resin supply - the superior supply may cost a pound or so more, but it will be guaranteed to perform to the usual high Tulsion standard.

Currently there are two wholesale importers bringing Tulsion products into the UK. The product specification differs between the products imported by the wholesaler that we use and the wholesaler that most others use. The wholesale importer that we source through has a quality-checked and assured strong base resin based on a tight manufacturing and testing specification whereas the other wholesale importer supplies resin without a set specification meaning the quality cannot be guaranteed.

Each year we see a few posts popping up on forums stating that the quality of MB-115 is of not of a high standard. When the wholesale importer has checked on the supply of 'this' resin they find that it has not come from the batches they import and are always from the batches imported by the other wholesale importer which are of a lesser specification.

Hope that has clarified this  :)

The cogs in my head are slowly turning but I do remember Alex mentioning the MB/SB.
If it's branded Tulsion MB-115 then you should expect to receive the same standard of product from one buyer to the next. If this isn't the case then it should be reported to trading standards.
I would be interested to know where Ungers resin comes from and if there is a high standard of quality control.

Following on from yesterday's discussion, I will re-iterate that there is only ONE grade of MB115 produced by Thermax. So it does not matter where you buy it, every bag will be exactly the same as the next. Each resin product can only have one MSDS and Data sheet. Attached are the MSDS and Product Data sheet for MB115 as produced and certified by Thermax. Any supplier should be able to provide both of these documents along with the product they sell. You would then be able to compare with any other Tulsion MB115 being sold. It should always be the same.
Tulsion 1060 will be available early in the new year. Attached is the data sheet for that product so that you can make your own comparison.

Just a heads up really about www.resin-products.com.

I purchased some MB115 from ebay at £62.50 for a 25 Litre bag, delivered.

A few months later I got this email....

"Hi Gary

You have bought Tulsion MB115 from me when i had the products listed ion eBay. I now stock this and many other items directly on my company website;
www.resin-products.com

I have over 50pallets in stock and all prices include local UK delivery. Please visit the website for further information.

You will also see our new products RP60 which the equivalent grade to Tulsion MB115 but alot cheaper.

Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me

Raj"

The resin was/is fine, seems good quality, but the seller on ebay is not the same person as the one listed above and i was originally told he had got hold of 2 containers full of resin so I am just doubting the back story.

It has to be,  otherwise he'd have nobody to distribute to.  I wouldn't buy from a distributor who would then undercut me.

To be honest I find it really strange that someone with a handful of posts comes on the forum and then everyone instantly believes that what he says is the absolute truth.

Certain long standing suppliers/forum members come here and offer free, valuable advice and the same people who believe the above  use it as a chance to question and diss the suppliers who have a proven track record of helping people out, eg Daqua/Gardiners and anyone else.

Sure these companies are all here to promote and help sell their product lines, but surely it is better to get the actual facts before having a go at any one of them.

Good day to you all.
Back in December we had a dialogue about resin, quality, suppliers and what might be the best to buy.
There are ONLY two importers of Tulsion  - Daqua (who work closely with Gardiners) and ourselves (the largest importer) Resin Products Limited.
There are two Tulsion Products MB111 and MB115 - both work well but MB115 is a stronger product that lasts longer and out perform most other resins both in laboratory tests and in the field.

Im not a heavy resin user as I only get through 10 ltrs every 12-18 months since using a 4040.
But I've only ever used Tulsion mb-115 from Daqua (6 years) and I honestly have never had any problems whatsoever.
And I calibrate my TDS meter fairly regularly so I know I'm getting accurate PPM readings.
