Yip the new brush would be great for me been heavy handed , A good  balance between the SL & Supreme i can only use Xtremes at the moment due to injury .

It will depend on the bristles the bristles on brushes these days are far far inferior to how they were about 5 years ago,the Xline brush is the closest thing bristle wise to how some brushes from certain company's were back then. A good brush will hold its shape even with hot water longer than an inferior brush,they all lose shape eventually but a good one can last months and if its swapped from time to time with the same kind of brush it can last years. I have brushes even now that I wouldn't sell for £100 a piece because there's nothing like it available at the moment I use them for certain types of Windows,like I've said before the Xline is I think the best all round brush available at the moment although I would like it in a half the weight version.

In general, you don't need a huge amount of scrubbing power on regularly cleaned windows. For me lightness is more important.

This week I have been using the very first version of the extreme brushes,like a totally different brush to the new versions much easier to use far better quality bristles.

Just to say, if it's the brush that I'm testing, it is excellent. I used it all day today on first cleans but have been using it off and on for a couple of weeks.. I've been using the medium white flocked. Lovely stiff bristles that don't collapse in the way Xtreme ones do, so it kind of sits on the glass. I honestly can't see a reason for anything heavier than this brush. Scrubs great. For me, I'll stick with the Xtreme as there's a noticeable difference in weight, but I I disagreeistant who's using the Mixed brush prefers it to the Supreme & Xtreme.

pity they still have stupid screws going through the plastic to hold the brush,,,it soon falls off,,,come on plastic held with screws,,i ended up having to use gorilla glue to hold it together,,,,it seems that gardener poles quality has gone down hill big time,,,still not much else out there

Never had one screw come out in 8 years of using Gardiner brushes.

Sorry that you have had an issue with these 

Did you buy the socket pre-fitted on the brush or did you screw the socket on yourself?
If you fitted the socket yourself is the socket one of ours or another brand?
If the socket is one of ours which screws did you use? If you used our screws, which size screws did you use?

We sell about 12,000 brushes a year and the majority are fitted with a socket held on by these screws. The plastic on the socket is a high quality plastic and the screws are chosen to be exactly the correct length and thread size to hold well. Of these brushes sold each year we virtually never have any issues with the sockets not staying screwed on. Occasionally a client will have an issue if using the wrong screws or from over-tightening the screws and stripping out the stock thread.

If you had the problem when buying the brush pre-assembled by us, when did you buy this? Did you contact our customer service team to have this rectified?
