Just had a call from a cleaning firm that so say handles 1000's of properties but don't use wfp.

Wanted to know if I was interested in doing any 3/4 storey gutter clearing & f.s.g cleaning for them. Turns out they only wanted me to travel over 150 miles to do one  building 70m 3 storey gutter clearing & f.s.g clean for £250...yeah right I don't think so somehow.

Do any of you chaps get calls like this?

I know someone who goes similar distances to jobs he could earn more on locally lol ludicrous way to work,that's what happens when you go on the books with big property companies they will expect you to travel further than what you said for an average block of flats. I used to do a bookmakers until they went with a multi national company and when I spoke to the guy who then did the job he went on to tell me that he was doing an 80-100 round trip for about 10 shops for about 6-7 each lol. If you can earn the same or more within your areas covered why on earth would you want to go these distances to earn the same or less it's crazy,I think a few that do this do it for pub talk so they can say I was working in London or similar today just to stroke there ego.

After falling over laughing at what he said  I went on to say I might be interest in just some local work and then he did not seem so keen to talk to me anymore
