Back to hospital for me again
« on: November 18, 2015, 04:30:58 pm »
Well, back to the hospital again this year for the second time. So they can fix up the experiment knee I have in April so it's a full replacement this time.  Let's hope it works  soon as I don`t think my round will survive another break of two months. I lost half my work  with my last operation. I don`t know how  one must live when you off 4 months in one year. Any advice.

Uh oh.

Hope you get sorted once and for all this time.

Do you have anyone near by that can cover your work? You won't get any income from it, but  at
Least you know that it will be there for you on your return.

Also put a letter out to all your customers, explaining that your going to be in hospital but will be back ASAP.

Health comes first though. You could build a new business up again even if you had to.

Slap as Jonny has said let your customers know the situation, when I was off for 6 months I only lost a few
because they thought I had quit.
Most people aren't obsessed with their windows especially at this time of the year and wont mind waiting for your return.
Best of luck.

Depending on how much you and your partner have in bank you may be entitled to a benefit aimed at self employed not sure what it is called

If you have dependents you can apply for Working Families' Tax Credit.

Best wishes,

Thanks for the input done the letter already and I should, if all goes well miss one clean as my round is mainly 8 weekly.  With a bit of luck, it might just snow in this time and I can rest up out of it.
