Anyone recommend a good pole carrier to fit to roof bars.

Due to shoulder aches looking to get an extreme pole.

Don't trust putting it back of van as currently do with slx, something might give it a wallop
Ps vans to small for internal pole carrier.

a escort? lol I can't imagine there are many of them on the road still,

anyway, a pipe tube carrier would be good, however you could carry them internally, here is a pic of mine

van is a ex bt vauxhall combo, it came with a internal ladder carrier so I just used that with added guttering pipes, works very well

Can't fit my slx pole inside like that it goes in but top corner to opposite bottom corner (diagonally)

I suppose I could  do something with gutter brackets inside but might be a bit naff, thinking hook's, so slot in and out might get over awkward angle.
Cheaper than van guard pipe carier.

How do you find the Vauxhall combo?
Believe it is similar height to my van.

Where I live parking is a problem, I have garage with up and over door my van fits in nice.

Plenty of height in my garage but not getting through door though.
All new vans to tall or go in my garage but couldn't have roof rack.

I'd keep the poles inside the van if you can
Might not be true but i heard a story of a chap that strapped his poles to the roof rack and then kept getting complaints. Turns out the brushes where catching crap from the roads when driving around (mind you, he was doing motorway miles to jobs)

I reckon you could fit your extreme in the van without breaking it, after you let that money out your account you'll take it to bed with you as well!!!

my xtreme 47 fits in my connect van(hi roof) with gooseneck in my pole tubes no problem.the tubes stretch above the mesh bulkhead though

Am going to fit some gutters to inside of roof in the Back, if the extreme 47 don't fit in without taking the neck off al be pist.......... But av got a plan 

I will have a hole drilled in bulk head so it fits through put some nice tape and sponge around and glue a large hot cup from McDonald's over hole as a nice base holder for the pole 

I need to do something I have poles all over the back of the van, extreme is only one I put on brackets

you cant beat having a clean,tidy van with all your gear in the right place.

IMO it keeps me cleaning quickly and efficiently with minimal hassle and stress.

the escort is longer than a combo but not as tall so you shouldnt have a problem fitting them in, the end of my pole holders rest on the shelf above your head you dont even notice them, the poles go through the bulkhead

tbh the combo is fine for what it is, cheap, reliable and excellent for window cleaning, no need for a larger van for 1man wfp work, mine carries 500l and everything I need with ease, I am only using it as a stop gap until my new fiat doblo maxi arrives

mine came with a pipe tube but I took it off as I dont use it

I have bought the pipes cut in half so I have 4 in total, I try to use the extreme for as much as possible but it's to big to clean thing like menu boards and in tight spaces so I have a small pole as well. Then there 2 x unger poles that get used on anything crap or as applying chemical, and 1 crap head pole again for anything crap, oh ye and there's a piece of scrap metal on the roof with brodex wrote on it

My days can involve anything, set work everyday ye but get so many add ons and other jobs given to me throughout the days I need a variety pack,

Totally agree with you about a clean van, and I am trying but with pressure washer, whirlaway and 80m high pressure hose, 10m garden hose, an all wfp equipment by the end of the day is a disaster.
Just bought hp hose reel off Ben Marriott so am hoping this will free up some space and mess

I tend to work out of the back were my trad equipment is and do my very best to ignore what's happening on the right hand side of the van

Thanks Scrimble, I do have a bulkhead and that is what causes the problem.

Could cut a bit out of the top mesh for pole I suppose.

Have another look at it.
