i thought monday was the worst weather ive worked in this year!

im on schedule and up to date but a full day penciled in today again.weekends gonna be a total washout and im not working monday as im off to the hospital with my girlfriend.loads of work due next week as well to squeeze in between tues-fri.

commercial job first thing and 19 houses to clean.

will i do it?

IME when you start having a day off here and there before you know it your a week behind schedule.then your 8 weekly properties become 9 or 10 weeks since last clean.

i think ive only had 3 days off due to really bad weather this year thats prevented me from working

Little bit windy here but nothing bad.

Loads of jobs on Saturday and today is a bit easier but had a hard week. Cleaning at 5am is no fun.

That happens to me all the time, I clean on a six weekly rota but its always around 8/9, customers never complain and I feel
a lot more content as I don't have to be working to a timetable or feel that I'm going to lose customers if I miss it.
Yes I could make more money if I worked in all weathers and I can understand why some have no choice, I'm lucky to be at
a stage in my life where I no longer need to battle the elements and for me to be out in all weathers would be down to greed
and greed alone.

I've just got in from doing my weekly shops. It was a combination of wind, heavy rain and sunshine, It was windy enough to destroy some of the windows I had cleaned them, so I did those ones again. Just goes to show that cleaning in windy weather really is pointless from the customers' point of view, hence I wasn't going to do my residentials today.

I was using a 35 on monday, half way clamped on each section. Was fab

It's either rained, been blustery or a combination of both for the past two weeks, Had two days off work to do other things, rest of the time it's been a case of stick on some waterproofs and just crack on regardless. Bills don't stop coming in, so needs must. Stuff worrying what customers may think about the crappy weather, even when it's just drizzling or light rain otherwise nothing would get done then the customers would be moaning they haven't seen us for ages.

all work cleaned and up to date.it was horrible out there at times but i enjoy the challenge!

i have got a choice sean.i dont need the money desperately but i just prefer to be out in it still earning.

its all about the money of course and keeping on schedule.

i wouldnt call it greed at all.im hardly gonna be a millionare any time soon cleaning windows for a living but i spent many years playing at this game,slacking off and wasting days,weeks etc.

its all about building a bit of financial security for the future and having a bit of money for nice holidays etc so i work as much as i can in the week(i have most weekends off)

Cleaned my Friday commercials and  in hindsight should  have called it a day. Being nearly 2 weeks behind I tried to soldier on with some residential work.  Major mistake, gonna feel guilty asking people to pay after the battering we took. Will probably re-clean most of them on Monday at my expense

Greed for me Dazmond not you, I have the opposite story I spent many years working long hours and chasing money
I always kept a dairy to make sure I got paid for all the overtime I worked and was looking at one of  them a while back,
I worked 12 hour nights 7 nights a week in a machine shop and over 4 years had only 19 days off so there's no way I would
accuse anyone on here of being greedy.

Really stormy here today. Had todo a bloody new commercial with big glass windows. Inside and out.

Considering weather. They were 99% perfect.

ruddy hell sean!they are long hours!yeah we ve all had different lives.i spent many years drinking,sleeping with various women,going to raves,playing drums in lots of different bands..........the rest of my time i wasted!

.......i ended up skint,in debt and very ill after 15 years of it though.

at 44 yrs of age i like routine,getting up at 6am most days,in bed by midnight(usually!) and running a tight ship business wise

Yes sold holidays as well and the union shop stewards where as bad as me, the company I worked for couldn't get enough experienced CNC machine operators so we could work all the hours we wanted.
No Kids when would I have had the time.
