Search function is being horrible tonight for me.

bergaus GTX explorer boots all year round mate.

they usually last around 18 months worn every day for work.

they keep your feet dry and are very comfortable from day one.just bought a new  pair the other month.£95-00 including delivery from outdoor gear UK.

nice and light and good padding around the ankles. ;D
price higher/work harder!

Walking boots are designed for walking on footpaths. I don't understand why people buy them for work.

usually fabric but ive had the leather ones too.they all last roughly the same amount of time worn every day for work all year round(18 months) and both keep feet dry in wet weather.

I found the Berghaus GTX really comfy but they just didn't keep their waterproof ability long enough, always the left boot first - I had the leather ones. I think all footwear is churned out of the same factories these days so changing brands makes little difference. At the moment I'm using Northface Chillkats. All good so far two pairs for about £120 I think I paid.

i buy them because they work for me.very comfortable straight out of the box, they keep feet dry.excellent padding for ankles and good grip.what more do you want?

ive tried all the karrimor crap and all the other cheap boots years ago........and they are just that.....rubbish IMO.they dont keep your feet dry and are ready for chucking  in the bin within 6 months.

I buy two of everything and rotate them I've gone through at least four pairs of Berghaus boots. Comfiest boots I ever had but they all leaked way before they showed signs of wear. I think the leather uppers come away from the soles somewhere.
Usually buy them from Gaynor Sports of Ambleside.

I tried Brasher Hillmasters - DON'T they are lethal in the wet and wear the soles completely smooth in six months.

Walking boots are designed for footpaths and hills. That's why they don't last. They aren't designed for work.
