Workwear Clothing?
« on: October 24, 2015, 12:59:38 pm »
Going into winter i am looking to get some new workwear clothing.  I already use Logo Branded Polo shirts and Hoodies, i am looking for some decent workwear pants and comfortable stylish trainers/shoes/boots, also can somebody recommend best place to get waterproofs that feel comfortable whilst working too.  Dont mind cashing out, usually im cheap at winter but this year want to gear up a little better!

What do you guys wear workwise?  I'm aiming to look slightly more professional but stylish at the same time, want to stand out from the regular old shabby looking window cleaners that you see everywhere....

The only waterproof gear we have is a full boiler type suit for pressure washing and reflective jackets, we just don't clean windows in the rain so normal work trousers are fine, boots - the lads provide thier own, I use karrimore' s - I find they are the best all rounder

Winter wear is polo tops, body warmers, sweatshirt, fleece jacket, beanie hat

Screwfix have just stared selling waterproof work  trousers with plenty of pockets .

They look good but I would only wear them if I was working out in snow

My preference to keep the bottoms of my trouser legs dry is gaiters , otherwise once they're wet your boots start getting wet no matter how good they are .

I've got Montane rain proof over trousers very comfortable fit, look decent and most importantly keep you nice and dry. Not heavy.  If you've got a Go Outdoors shop near you, worth going to have a look.  I've an Haglöfs Endo goretex jacket for rain. It's a luxury, but I'd probably buy the montane equivalent next time as a lot cheaper and equally efficient.
Boots : I always get hiking boots. Bought some Garmont ones this year, very impressed, they actually keep my feet dry when it's raining or going through sodden grass   :D(from Bergfreunde.co.uk).

Wychwood waterproof jacket and trousers, its a decent brand although its fishing gear so its green! Ok for the windows and cheap yellow water proofs for the pressure washing, which are pointless if you sweat like a pig as I do.

Work wear its walking trousers and tops from decathlon. Been wearing Mammut shoes for the last 3 years but the sole doesn't last long, probably down to the extra grip.

Just bought some karrimor walking type polos but don't think they're any good for printing on though.

Haglofs! Bit fancy for work but they have some smart looking stuff.
