Been wfp since February only do top windows trad bottoms so don't use a lot of water
I am still getting zero readings So is it best to change resin and filters say once twice a year or wait till readings go up .

I just use DI since I live in a soft water area. I only take action if the TDS reading goes above 005.

Change pre-filters regularly according to litres produced or periodically (3-6 months minimum) whichever is sooner.
Waiting until TDS rises or filters become clogged is a mistake in my opinion as it can allow chlorine through to deteriorate membrane.

Don't know what they are all called but do you change all of them I have 3 white ones on top and the two underneath in blue

You need to change the bottom ones , you'll need a carbon filter and a sediment filter normally in a pack of 2

 I get mine from  Gardiners when ordering other stuff .

The 'white ones' are your membranes - they shouldn't need changing yet (expensive) the prefilters should last at least  six months I would have thought. Once your TDS starts rising before the resin to about 30ppm then think about renewing them.

Dave I don't understand how you know his white ones are membranes,  I've gone through the posts and there's no pics or mention off which ro he's using,  I use twenty inch filters and I got told to use fyberdene filters in all three I did and I only change them every six months

Cos he won't be using a 20" RO so it's most likely a smaller 300gpd. The membranes won't be on the bottom will they? Why use three Fyberdene filters?

Understand  now I have seen pics.  I got told by vyair that the fiberdene s do the job off all the other filters put together so I use them ones now
