Thermobore hot minibore hose
« on: October 17, 2015, 09:34:27 am »
It was all the thing a few years back for those working with hot water, I need to replace a hose reel and was thinking of sticking 60 meters of thermobore on it, can't seem to find any suppliers selling this type of hose any longer.  Was this due to it being ineffective at holding in the heat and does anyone know of any suppliers still selling this type of hose?

I just googgled this https://www.grippatank.co.uk/thermobore-plus-100m-reinforced-hose-8mm-id-new

I've never used any type of thermobore hose myself as found yellow microbore hose works ok when using hot water as the walls of the hose is quite thick.  Same can’t be said for using standard garden hose though as will blow.

Regarding keeping the heat in the hose I have no idea if that stuff in the link is any better or not as I've not tried it to compare.

Gardiners developed their hose so the yellow hose they sell is suitable for Hot or Cold use .
