Dye on Indian Sanstone.
« on: September 26, 2015, 02:09:38 pm »
My lad has spilled some kind of a green dye from his chemistry set all over the indian sandstone flags in the garden. All over his new jumper too lol and the wife is not a happy bunny! Thank god he used it outside I suppose! Anyway I said to the missus that it's probably not going to budge but she ignored me anyway and started scrubbing for 30 mins!  ;D

I know it's a long shot but is there anything I can use to improve it?

As it's outside, I'm thinking bleach perhaps diluted may do something. I remember some years ago a lady had new sandstone steps and there were some stains on them. She got in touch with the people who fitted them and they recommended bleach and it did the trick.

Perhaps better to try in an inconspicuous area and see what happens.
