ive known loads of my customers for years, some i tell, others i dont.if your only gonna be a week or two late it doesnt really matter.if your going away for a month for example i would tell most of them.that reminds me!only a few weeks til i go to ibiza for a week!cant wait!
good on you sean.we all know what it takes to keep a window cleaning business afloat and profitable(often hard boring work in all weathers).enjoy your well earned break.
I don't generally tell my customers when I'm going on holiday. My feeling is you don't know where that information may end up. My next door neighbour was burgled about 7 years ago and the thieves went straight to the only two places in their home where there was stuff of value to be had and didn't touch anything else. Police recon they had the information in advance as they appeared to know exactly where to go. Where they got it from they never worked out.If I start telling my customers when I'm going away, that's hundreds of opportunities for that information to inadvertently fall into the wrong hands.I've found that customers usually work it out for themselves whilst I'm away.
Remember to tell them it's a camping holiday you are going on..........then when you come back with a tan tell them there were sunbeds on site!
