Not tried on domestics mate but work every day of the week ........... And some long shifts in there

Last December I worked 7 days a week right up to and including 24th. No-one minded. I've also done builders cleans and the like on  Sundays.

I have a gardener come and cut my grass on a Sunday afternoon, he does me and the neighbours, it isn't an issue. I've canvassed for window cleaners and slotted them in on a Sunday, it isn't usually an issue though one or two customers ask not to.

If it's to get yourself noticed then go for it. If it's because you're behind with your workload, you need to refine your round so you can earn enough working 4 good days a week, allowing for crap weather

i have worked a sunday on domestics but not for about 10 years.no problem.i only did half a day though.

Excellent advice from Sunshine, the thing is the majority of people don't complain so even though they might look
happy enough to your face it could be an entirely different matter behind your back.
I certainly wouldn't turn up on a Sunday unless its been arranged in advance or its for the customers benefit, what I mean by that is if you need to do it before Christmas or similar to get everybody cleaned then most customers will be grateful for that.
I have done gutter cleans and similar on a Sunday but like I have said they have been arranged in advance.

Yeah that's my concern.i personally would nt be to happy if my window cleaner turned up at 9 o'clock on a Sunday morning. I was debating sending the lad who works for me out on Sat /sun.just to catch us up a bit plus earn bit extra cash

For me, Saturday, yes on occasion. Sunday, no.
My work is all residential though. I dare say many wouldn't mind once they got used to it but I know some would. My mothers window cleaner used to only do his rounds on weekends as he had another job. He had a sizeable round, none of whom seemed to mind.

It's up to the individual cleaner but would I go out just for window cleaning then probably not unless it was a very large job.

However I don't mind working sat or sun myself on domestics if that's the best time when customers will be home for power, access etc for a combined exterior cleaning services. Like for instance when they want say their guttering & downspouts checked & cleared, plastics, conservatory, deck, paving, patio and/or driveway cleaned. That's basically any larger jobs that are worth my while to do.

It also tends to be easier to pick up extra work whilst working weekends  as more people are about and can see what I’m doing.

I've found being flexable is the key in this game as you can chose when you want to work or not and take time off during the weekdays too. That is the main  reason why I don't have a large regular window cleaning round as I prefer not to to  just clean windows .

I used to do it years ago, though I wouldn't start till 10 and would finish by 3.  These days I have a bit more commercial work, so I set aside the first Sunday of the month for it so that I can have some Sundays off.  I do very little residential work on a Sunday now - and even that is done by arrangement on my "commercial" Sunday.  It'sd also useful for when, perhaps, a non-customer wants a facia clean done or somebody wants a one off clean. "Certainly sir.  I have a full workload but I can do it if you are happy to wait until the first Sunday of next month."  Most are OK with that.

Let them know you are coming it should be okay..........I started my round up working Saturday and
Sundays......never had a problem

I would only do sundays if pre arranged, same with bank hols booked jobs only.
i wouldnt want to be distrurbed on a weekend unannounced

I got back into this malarky to work the minimal time for as much profit as I could. For people getting started, Sundays should be OK for the UK. But once you've got an established custy base, I would want to earn more than enough in 4 days a week max.
That's the point of being a window licker IMO.

Each to their own I suppose. By the way, I still collect, and sometimes collect on a Sunday if I wanted Monday off for example. I also canvass new work on a Sunday if it fits in with my plan for the month etc.
