For cleaning all of the windows I can see in the picture:

Outside = £80

Inside = £120

+ 40% because the builders have been in.

TOTAL = £280

Now... Someone will reply and say "£280!!! thats far too much - I would do it all for £40".

I do quote high - I always have done but I have no shortage of work.

Doesn't look particularly grubby, just general dirt and stickers. One bloke should do it in a short day, I'd say about £350 minimum. Leave a few cards lying around for the new owners too.

You want £350 for a short day?
Do you supply a free holiday with that as well?
So your typical week must be around the £2,000 mark?  ???

As far as the house goes....no idea, it's huge!

If it's outside only every 4/5 weeks then I would charge £80

For a not 'too bad' builders clean, £350 for that place is about right. If it was a sloppy cement n' plaster job I'd double that no sweat.

However, as it's not a b/clean, I'd say about £85 with wfp.

I'm off now to sh@g the maid while the missus is out at Harrods :P

On some of these prices there must be more millionaires in this trade than in any other!!!  :-\

It would take me less than 2 hours to do that

How many windows on the side that you cant see in the picture.

I have noticed the windows are sash are the bars on the outside ?

Thereis probably more on the sides you cannot see so i would pdobably pitch £70-£80

I clean approx 15 houses of this size or bigger at various intervals throughout the year and the cheapest one I do is £110 per clean every two months and that takes 45mins. For the house on this post they would be looking at £160 outsides £300 in/out.

its got to be about £120 for this job - lets be real here, if you want to keep the customer a regular price of say £70 - £85 is fair and £120 for the so called  builders clean (this just looks like a heavy clean NOT a cement and plaster clean!).

However if it were a full builders clean £210 to £300 would be about right....

it depends on how long you thin it'll take you and how much you want the job?

Only you can answer that one?????????

Sorry Dave but if you think you have to be cheap to keep the work then I think you are mistaken. I have quite a few houses like this and they pay for my services.

They don't question the prices as generally I have been recommended because of the quality of work not the price. I also charge a high rate because whilst I am cleaning this house which I would anticipate would take hour and half I could be elsewhere on smaller £20 hits which I would clean in the region of 6 an hour.

The one thing to bear in mind is generally people mix in similar circles to themselves and if you do a good job word of mouth counts far more than cost, if you're too cheap people will think your missing windows or not doing the job properly, am not saying this is you in anyway so please don't think I am, just generalising what people think

My experience of this type of "top of the range" property is that there is no middle ground.

They either want it done for peanuts ( because you are "only a window cleaner") or they are happy to pay well for a top class service.

This place is made for WFP  (apart from the windows above the balconies)

Stuart has asked for an idea of pricing. I would go for £120 per maintenance clean. That would include all the UPVC/doors/ and probably garage doors which are a dawdle with WFP and an "added value" service to the customer.

Builders clean.. well  without seeing the windows etc close up it's very hard to tell but it could well be as high as £600.00 inside and out. ( With a signed waiver re scratched glass)  One thing I do with all first cleans whether they be new build or not is that if I see a scratch on a window while doing the job the window gets left and the customer gets a call regarding this. "If I havent cleaned it then it's not my fault" is the principle here. Once I get the all clear from the customer it gets done next time around.

Andrew, do you sell WFP's by any chance? ::)
