No do not use any brush. Monofilament brush will leave scratches on it. Use a flocked brush if you must use a brush. And to be honest you'd be just as well washing that with a large sponge and shampoo after you've rinsed it off first. Ideally a power washer. Hard to say without seeing it. Half an hour, £20 ? All depends, you might have green all over the roof/high sides etc.

I know lots who wfp them.

Get yourself a back pack sprayer with virosol (heavily diluted ) and pre spray the whole thing. Then go back over with a vikan oval FLOCKED brush and wfp. 

These brushes are designed for vehicles, so would be very difficult to scratch anything.

If possible take an attachment to hook your wfp up to an outside tap for the main clean, then go back over with just pure for the final rinse.

It will come up great, but bargain on 45 minutes to do the job. An hour if they are filthy.

No mate a sponge is the best way but you will need a brush to do the roof, be very careful with the plastic windows
as they scratch with the slightest rubbing and a brush will destroy them.
You will also need a specialist cleaner to remove any black stains that might be on the bodywork usually found below
windows or anything that has a rubber seal, also be careful around fridge vents as these are only designed to keep out
water running down the van ( don't hit them straight on ).
Fenwicks motorhome cleaner used concentrated on a sponge, I found this to be the best for removing the black marks or
Autoglyms super resin polish was another good was of removing the more stubborn marks.

Motorhomes are now mostly made from GRP which is a type of fiberglass, I would do a bit of research before putting
any chemical on it especially around the decals.

If it hasn't been done for a while I reckon it's gonna take longer than the 1/2 hour some others have quoted. 
I would wfp the roof and bucket and sponge the rest.
